I have made an investment in a new band. I've never done such a thing before, even though it only cost me $9. The band is called The Raconteurs and it consists of Jack White and Brendan Benson. Their debut album will be out in May. I call them an investment because I came across a piece of valuable memorabilia. Their first single, "Steady as She Goes" was released with a limited 1,000 pressing on vinyl. With only 1,000 in the entire world (400 in the U.S.) I was able to purchase 3 copies of the single. The 7" is already selling on Ebay for $50, and once the album hits record stores the value is sure to grow. I'm really excited by the potential of this indie supergroup. Hopefully I can hold onto it for a few years before hitting up Ebay.
